About this project
3D printers basically use additive manufacturing, leaving a thin layered pattern on the surface. Generally, most people are trying to get best surface quality when they are using a 3d print. For example, reducing ‘layer height’ is very effective to get a good result. Sometimes, I’m using those result to make a plaster mold for slip casting.
Although the 3D printer is used as a tool for work efficiency, I wanted to find some features that could be interesting in themselves. Texture is emphasized by further highlighting the laminated pattern, which is considered an inherent limitation, or by exposing the structure filled between the outer and inner walls to the surface.
I plan to obtain interesting results through various experiments and collect data from these results.
